Mechanism of Action
- P2Y12 receptor antagonists block P2Y12 receptor which is an ADP receptor → inhibition of platelet activation & aggregation

Clopidogrel (Plavix®)
- Drug interactions
- Certain proton pump inhibitors may reduce effect of clopidogrel
- Dosage
- ACS: T Clopidogrel 300 mg stat, then 75 mg OD
Ticagrelor (Brilinta®)
- Clinical use: STEMI awaiting for primary PCI
- Dosage: T Ticagrelor 180 mg stat, then 90 mg BD
- Contraindications
- High bleeding risk; H/O intracranial haemorrhage
- Severe hepatic dysfunction
- Cautions
- Asthma, COPD

- Hypersensitivity to prasugel
